Hi Collaborative VR group, I have a question for you. It is annual review time at my office and that also means writing up goals for next year. An idea that has been floating in my head for a while was to host an online conference on
the topic of Virtual Reference. I’ve attended a couple of online conferences in the last year and have felt them to be quite good. I think the software has progressed enough to now make this possible. But since it would be held online it could be opened
up way beyond Washington State. I’m thinking of putting it in as a work goal for next year but what I would really like is to have participants from all over – heck why not say the world!. The wider it is opened up the more interesting presentation ideas
we could get. I don’t think it would be very expensive to do (she says blithely). There are software packages that will help you manage multiple sessions etc.

So while this is not any sort of commitment I wanted to gauge if there is interest. I’d planned to bring it up at our next meeting but my goal setting meeting is happening before then so I wanted to at least take a pulse. Intrigued?
