<p class="MsoNormal">I just want to run this by you: PatJohn Ashkin and I had a conversation this morning and I thought it might be helpful for him if he could attend our next VR meeting, to meet with us and learn more about what goes on behind the scenes.

<p class="MsoNormal">PatJohn recently moved to California. He was previously working for Florida’s Ask a Librarian service. There, he found that he really has a passion for virtual reference service and would like to explore the possibility of starting a
statewide service in California. Needless to say, this is a huge undertaking. Each of you have so much to offer someone like PatJohn, with your experience and advice, as he learns about the pros/cons, how to submit a proposal for state funding/support, etc.<o:p></o:p></p>
