People can now securely manage their medical, food, cash and child care benefits through the State of Oregon from the convenience of their mobile devices using the new Oregon ONE Mobile app. People first will need to apply for benefits online, in person at a local office or over the phone.

Celebrate the holidays with Lane County Youth Services! Students in the Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Education Center Culinary Arts Program will prepare and share a free holiday meal with the community.

The meal will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, in the Lane County Youth Services Carmichael Room (2727 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Eugene).

The meal is free and open to everyone. It also includes a free raffle for prizes and free food boxes to take home.
No reservation is required.

Workshops will introduce and allow caregivers to practice strategies informed by Parent Child Interaction Therapy - Toddler, which is a specialized behavior management program for parents of children 0-3 years old.

Parent-Toddler workshops are FREE for any family in Lane County.

TAX EXEMPTION FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITY

Thanks to Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Francisco Garcia for the following information:

Tax Preparation is around the corner for next year and wanted to share with you about this extra Exemption for Children with Disability if you did not know.

See information --  https://oregon.public.law/statutes/ors_316.758 --- In addition to the personal exemption credit allowed by this chapter for state personal income tax purposes, there shall be allowed an additional personal exemption credit for the taxpayer if the taxpayer:
(a) Has a severe disability at the close of the taxable year; and
(b) Has federal adjusted gross income that does not exceed $100,000 for the tax year.
