OUR JOURNEY: An Intertribal Quarterly Cultural Collaborative

"Our Journey" is an intertribal quarterly cultural collective event with the goal to create a cross-cultural space for both tribal and non-tribal peoples to learn, grow, share, and celebrate work that is being done in Lane County with an emphasis on health and improvement for the Federally Recognized Tribes and American Indian and Alaskan Native residents. This family-friendly event is hosted by Buffy Hurtado, enrolled member and citizen of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs and PacificSource Tribal Liaison.

RUNNING WILD – JOURNALING THROUGH NATURE

A Project Funded by the Wild Wonder Foundation.

A limited 5-series event incorporating running, curiosity, observation, and journaling. Let your inner scientist out and come play in nature. We will connect with nature through words, pictures, and numbers. Each participant will be guided through nature journaling basics and then will head out into nature by going on very light, beginner friendly runs through one of Eugene’s most beloved areas.

Participate in all 5 events and become a recognized nature steward (certificate included)!
These are all free events and every runner will be provided with journaling materials, which you get to keep!
Each event is limited to 8 runners to help keep trails as healthy as possible and reduce overuse. It’s first come, first serve, so don’t wait!

The monthly benefit for each eligible child is $40, or a summer total of $120.

Children are eligible if:

  *   Their household already participates in SNAP, TANF or OHP
  *   They go to a school that offers the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP) and their household meets the income requirements for free or reduced-price meals
  *   They attend a school that offers the NSLP or SBP and is enrolled in migrant programs, experiencing homelessness, participating in Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations, or attending Head Start

About 70% of children will have streamlined access to Summer EBT, but around 30% will need to apply. Summer EBT payments should begin in June of this year.

This website is intended to help those in our community seeking shelter either for themselves, or for someone else, know what shelters have beds available on a given night and what criteria there are for accessing those shelters.

Those accessing the site can filter through the shelters based on unique needs and be pointed in the direction of those shelters that best meet those needs. Additionally, by clicking on the bed icons located on the embedded map, site visitors can see information about the shelters including pictures, intake information, what they can expect when accessing and other important details.
