Tuesday Tidbits are short, specific info bites you can use and share to increase collective knowledge of Lane County's wide-ranging community resource landscape.
Below you will find local Mental and Physical Health resources being offered in our local community.

[cid:image005.jpg at 01DA79E2.A7812740]The Oregon Department of Veteran Affairs offers Advocacy, Awareness, and Assistance for Veterans who identify as LGBTQ+ and is expanding to include access to a network of supports.
Please see the attached flyer.
It is recommended that for those interested in getting support, it is encouraged to email the group and use the subject line "LGBTQ+ Veteran Village Network Support Request" and then share your request in the body of the email. This will allow others in the group to be aware of your needs and offer assistance if they can. For agencies that want to offer assistance, please reply directly to the sender rather than using the "reply all" option. This will help us be mindful of our inboxes and streamline communication.
For those who receive support, please email the group (by replying all to your original message) and notify us that you have received assistance. This will help their group track needs, resources, and be aware of the assistance provided should we encounter a similar case/situation in the future.
The process can be summarized in 4 steps:
1) Sender: When seeking support for LGBTQ+ veterans or their families, email the group with "LGBTQ+ Veteran Village Network Support Request" in the subject line. Clearly state your specific needs or requests in the body of the email.
2) Recipients: If you or your agency can provide support, reply individually to the person making the request. Avoid using the "reply all" option to keep communication focused and efficient.
3) Sender: When you receive support, please reply to the group and inform us of the resolution. This will help us all stay informed and prepared for similar situations in the future.
4) Sender: If your email has not received any support emails after four business days, please email ian.michael at odva.oregon.gov<mailto:ian.michael at odva.oregon.gov> to include your request in the agenda for the next meeting.
