Since 2014, Burrito Brigade<https://burritobrigade.org/> has provided more than 300,000 nutritious, vegan meals to hungry folks across the Eugene and Springfield area. Burrito Brigade creates an opportunity for community members to come together to hand craft and distribute hot meals to those who need it most.

BG has expanded services to include Waste-to-Taste<https://burritobrigade.org/waste-to-taste/>, a food rescue program, providing free food boxes. As of 2023, there are now 55 of Burrito Brigade’s Little Free Pantries<https://burritobrigade.org/pantries/> throughout the community, addressing food insecurity at a neighborhood level.

Waste-to-Taste Free Food Boxes<https://burritobrigade.org/waste-to-taste/>

Waste-to-Taste is a food rescue and free food box program through Burrito Brigade serving the Eugene, Oregon area. They work in collaboration with local grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants, and farms to rescue food and redistribute it to the community.

Proof of income or hardship is not required to shop here. Please make an appointment on the calendar here<https://burritobrigade.org/waste-to-taste/#schedule>. View FAQs here<https://burritobrigade.org/waste-to-taste/#:~:text=Schedule%20an%20Appointment-,WASTE%20TO%20TASTE%20FAQ,-VISITING%20AND%20SHOPPING>.

Little Free Pantries<https://burritobrigade.org/pantries/>

Burrito Brigade has built and placed more than 50 Little Free Pantries in neighborhoods throughout Eugene and Springfield, as well as Veneta, Junction City, and Florence, Oregon. Volunteers check the pantries and stock them with food on a weekly basis. See addresses and map here<https://burritobrigade.org/pantries/#:~:text=some%20extra%20love!-,Current%20locations,-Artist%3A%20Peighton%20Carmichael> for locations.

Weekend Burrito Brigade<https://burritobrigade.org/eugene>

Since their inception in 2014, the Weekend Burrito Brigade (WBB) has been preparing and distributing nutritious, vegan burritos on Saturdays and Sundays – the most food insecure days of the week – throughout Eugene and Springfield, Oregon. They’ve distributed more than 300,000 burritos as of Spring 2023!

Every weekend, dozens of volunteers help prepare nutritious burrito filling, stuff, and roll hundreds of burritos, and then distribute them across our community. Usually around 600-800 burritos per weekend! All of Burrito Brigade’s distribution is powered by their amazing crew of dedicated volunteers.

BG uses their own special recipe to make their burrito filling and sauces, but a significant amount of ingredients are rescued food items, such as peppers, tomatoes, and leafy greens from local grocery stores, restaurants, and farms.
