[cid:image052.png at 01DBB38C.56A6D8D0]SUMMER EBT PROGRAM RETURNS!
It’s that time of year again – Summer EBT time!
Summer EBT (SEBT) is a grocery benefits program. It helps families buy food for their school-aged children when school is out. Each summer, families will get one payment of $120 on an Oregon EBT card for each eligible child to buy groceries. Unused Summer EBT benefits expire 122 days after issuance.
With your help, we were able to serve 361,207 children with Summer EBT benefits in 2024 which equates to over 43 million in additional grocery benefits for families to spend in their communities! Another fun fact to share: 42.6% of all children in Oregon schools received Summer EBT benefits in 2024!
Please spread the word about the upcoming 2025 Summer EBT program with your local offices and community partners. Here are links to our SEBT Newsletter for Community Partners that went out in English<https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/ORDHS/bulletins/3da64a4> and Spanish<https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/ORDHS/bulletins/3da73ef>.
You all know your community so well and we would love to let all Oregonians know about this benefit!
A few facts about the Summer EBT 2025 program:

* Online applications will be live at sebt.oregon.gov<http://sebt.oregon.gov/> beginning May 30, 2025.

Connected Lane County<https://connectedlane.org/?gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhOvw_NOCjAMVHDStBh022i58EAAYASAAEgJjJvD_BwE> is pleased to announce the availability of Direct Cash Transfers as Prevention (DCT-P) funds to support young people at risk of experiencing homelessness. Through the State of Oregon’s Youth Experiencing Homelessness Program, we have received $100,000 in funding, which will allow us to assist at least 33 youth in Lane County with one-time cash payments aimed at stabilizing housing crises.
We are now accepting referrals<https://go.connectedlane.org/dctp> from youth-serving organizations. Referral partners must complete an intake form on behalf of young people aged 16-24 who are at risk of becoming unhoused. Please note that submission of the form does not guarantee funding, as each application will be reviewed for eligibility. After review, the referral partner and the client will receive an email with further guidance.
Have someone to refer? Complete the referral form here: go.connectedlane.org/dctp<http://go.connectedlane.org/dctp>. For questions, contact Meg Watson at meg at connectedlane.org<mailto:meg at connectedlane.org>.
