Hello District 5 Self-Sufficiency/Child Welfare Staff and Community Partners,

Tuesday Tidbits are short, specific info bites you can use and share to increase collective knowledge of Lane County's wide-ranging community resource landscape.
Below you will find Mental and Physical Health resources being offered in and for our local community.

[cid:image010.jpg at 01DBD491.7F84AEF0] LaneCare Trillium Behavioral Health has created a webpage that tracks real time openings for behavioral health services in Lane County!
The purpose of the website is to empower our entire our community to find mental health or substance use services. Anyone in the community will be able to use this website to find a provider for therapy, behavioral health medication, substance use services, peer support, and psychological evaluations. Folks can filter by location, ages served, issues treated, specialty population, provider identities, openings for specific services and other preferences. Although the website is in partnership between Lane County and Trillium, folks will be able to filter by additional insurance types such as Pacific Source Medicaid, commercial insurance, Medicare, and low/no cost behavioral health providers.

[cid:image011.jpg at 01DBD491.7F84AEF0]Willamette Valley Crisis Care is a new nonprofit founded and organized by former CAHOOTS workers, which is working to fill the gaps in consent-based crisis response currently present in Eugene. They are hoping that the community will be able to share stories about interactions with CAHOOTS to help them advocate for being added to the City of Eugene budget for 2025-2027. [cid:image012.jpg at 01DBD491.7F84AEF0]Oregon Family Support Network is offering a virtual Suicide Prevention training, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) on June 11th, at 9am PT.
Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.
