Hello District 5 Staff and Community Partners,
Amy Wilson with Lane County recently sent the following:
Based on our local weather reports and the National Weather Service in Portland, temperatures in the valley are expected to rise this weekend and anticipated to be 90 degrees and possibly above, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday (6/29-7/1). With that in mind, I am including the link for the Lane County Cooling Spaces should temperatures rise above the anticipated levels. Please know that each cooling space has its own threshold for activating and these notations are included on the Cooling Spaces website, as applicable. As we head towards the upcoming holiday next weekend, all cooling spaces hours of operation and planned closures are included on the website and will continue to be updated as necessary. Please feel free to reach out with any questions and have a great rest of your week!
