Hello District 5 Self-Sufficiency/Oregon Eligibility Partnership/Child Welfare Staff and Community Partners,

Tuesday Tidbits are short, specific info bites you can use and share to increase collective knowledge of Lane County's wide-ranging community resource landscape.
Below you will find Mental and Physical Health resources being offered in and for our local community.

[cid:image006.jpg at 01DBC993.160FEEC0]We have exciting news! The ODHS Office of Developmental Disabilities Services (ODDS) and the Oregon Self-Advocacy Coalition (OSAC) created a new resource: "The Self-Advocate Guide to Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Services.<https://www.oregon.gov/odhs/idd/pages/self-advocates.aspx>" Self-advocates worked with us to make the guide. We hope it will strengthen your self-advocacy and make your experience of I/DD services better. Click this link<https://www.oregon.gov/odhs/agency/Pages/odds.aspx?jump=true#dm> to read a message about the Self-Advocate Guide from ODDS Interim Director Dana Hittle.
The Self-Advocate Guide to Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Services will help you:

  *   Advocate for yourself.
  *   Learn about I/DD services.
  * Get ready to plan your services.
  * Take the Oregon Needs Assessment (ONA).
  * Make your Individual Support Plan.
  * Take action if your support needs aren't being met.
Your services should help you live the good life you want. We hope the guide will empower you to meet your goals.

It is a space for parents, caregivers, and guardians to share questions and ideas with one another about how to support their youth in a private discussion group. The group also welcomes adult trans and gender-diverse folks who may not have children but are focused on supporting the parenting of gender-diverse children.
