This month we're trying to stay cozy and familiar with chicken, roasted veggies, and mashed potatoes with gravy. Our mashed potatoes and gravy will be vegan and we are looking into a vegan alternative to the chicken. Trishia will be making a cookie butter pie for dessert with fruit as a vegan/dairy-free alternative!

Our intention with these dinners is to create opportunities for BIPOC folks to be in community and share joy—this space is open to anyone who identifies as BIPOC. We ask that when sharing flyers and information about these dinners, folks keep that intention in mind ❤️

Lane County recently learned that they will be receiving less Emergency Shelter funding from the State of Oregon this fiscal year as compared to last.

While this will most greatly affect emergency shelters, it has also led to the end of a contract with 211info. This contract funded a dedicated team of 211 operators that focused on connecting households experiencing a housing crisis in Lane County to services. These services previously included connections to street outreach teams for unsheltered populations, guidance on accessing brick-and-mortar Front Door sites, and virtual Front Door assessments.

While these specialized connections will end, 211info continues to be available to Lane County residents seeking information and resources.
