Trauma and adversity have always been part of human life, as have the many ways individuals, families, and communities work to survive and heal. Today’s trauma-informed and evidence-based practices are often rooted in traditional, cultural, and familial healing approaches that have supported well-being for generations. Participants will explore where contemporary research aligns with long-standing healing wisdom, and where important differences remain—supporting more thoughtful, responsive, and accessible healing practices.
