Federal Government Updates June 2026



  *   Renewal interviews have resumed for certain older adults and people with disabilities

        *   A temporary federal waiver has ended that allowed some SNAP households called NED (No Earned Income, Elderly, or Disabled) to skip their renewal interview.
        *   Beginning June 1, 2026, renewal interviews resumed for households where:
           *   All adults are age 60 or older, or meet the SNAP definition of disabled, and
           *   No one in the household has earned income


  *   The new ONE Promotional Toolkit<https://sharedsystems.dhsoha.state.or.us/DHSForms/Served/de2436_a.pdf> is ready and available in twelve languages. This toolkit has all kinds of resources that can be re-shared by your organization to help people in Oregon connect with and use the ONE system.   *   A new one pager has been created for individuals who have been denied or had their SNAP case closed.
