Conference on Oregon Government

This don¹t-miss conference offers educators an insider¹s view of the halls
of Oregon government.  From those who make laws to those who interpret them,
this conference features officials from every branch. It is a day filled
with everything we ever wanted to know about Oregon government from the
mouths of the folks we put there.

Participants will return to schools knowing more about:
* the Oregon Constitution and initiative system
* key landmark cases from Oregon courts
* Oregon¹s new high school graduation requirements
* how the legislature really works

And, receive an armload of lessons, materials, and ideas that you can put
right to work in your classroom!

Conference fee of $50 ($10 for currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate
students of education) includes:
* choice of 3 concurrent sessions
* materials
* lunch
* incomparable opportunity to meet policy makers in the seat of government

Travel stipend
* $50 for participants traveling at least 150 miles round trip (for those
traveling multiple hours one-way, please contact CLP).

Credit Options

* .5 credit Lewis & Clark College ($40, payable to college; must attend full
