TEACHERS, bring your 10 member Student Delegation to this unique cultural immersion experience including: History and Contemporary issues * Art and Architecture * Theater, Music and Dance *Language and Calligraphy * Pop Culture * Religion and Ceremony Delegations will also enjoy A Continental Breakfast A Mid-day Ethnic meal * Entertainment *& East Asian Market and Information Fair The Forum will end with each Student Delegation outlining an East Asia Awareness to Action Plan as a way to share what they have learned with their school. Relations between the U.S. and China, Japan & Korea directly affect the lives of people the world over. Understanding these countries and their people are an essential part of the skills and knowledge needed to live and work in an increasingly interdependent world. The World Affairs Council of Oregon www.worldoregon.org and PSU's Institute for Asian Studies www.oia.pdx.edu/ias are partnering in a concerted effort to increase this understanding among Youth. Admission for 2 teachers and a delegation of 10 students is FREE.
