Workshop Descriptions: Indistar(r) School-Level Training Join us as we delve into Indistar(r), a web-based tool that will guide your school team in creating a Comprehensive Achievement Plan (CAP) and managing the continuous improvement process. Hands-on activities will have your school team discussing indicators, characteristics of effective planning, learning how to create a school plan and how to monitor that plan with Indistar(r). This workshop is valuable for all schools and will also address Title I-A Schoolwide planning within Indistar(r). Please bring a school team of 3-5 members representing the various roles of support for the school (e.g., the school principal, 1-2 teachers involved in school improvement efforts, a curriculum specialist, a leadership coach, or a district representative). District Continuous Improvement Planning using Indistar(r) ODE is using Indistar(r) for Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) submissions, beginning June 30, 2014. Using the Indistar(r) process to a) self-evaluate, b) plan and c) monitor that plan will eliminate unnecessary paperwork for districts by creating a more flexible process that addresses both state and federal planning requirements. Hands-on activities will have your district team discussing indicators, planning requirements and characteristics of effective planning. Teams will learn how to create a district improvement plan, a monitoring plan, implementation and how to communicate progress using a variety of reports within Indistar.
