Good Morning Hyperion Users,
This is the second notification regarding the requirement to remove all versions of Hyperion from all state computers by June 30, 2022. Please see the following link to access the Oracle Agreement with the State of Oregon: Oracle ULA settlement website<https://www.oregon.gov/basecamp/Pages/Oregon-ULA-Settlement.aspx>. As mentioned below, I will send out a certification form in early spring of 2022 for each agency to return to me. Enterprise Information Services will be tracking these certifications as well to ensure the State of Oregon is in compliance with the settlement. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you,

Subject: [Datamart-News] Hyperion License Removal Notification (End of an era)
Good Morning Hyperion Users,
This is the first of several notifications you will receive to ensure all agencies are aware that Hyperion Version 11.1.2.1 is no longer supported by Oracle and is at an 'end of life' as of April 2018. In addition, the State of Oregon will no longer have licenses for the Hyperion product when the Oracle Unlimited Licensing Agreement (ULA) ends on June 30, 2022.
Because the Hyperion licensing is ending, DAS will be required to have a certification from each agency verifying that the State of Oregon has complied with the removal of all current licenses from all desktop and laptop computers. I will send out the certification form in the Spring of 2022.
Please make sure your agency is utilizing the latest replacement for Hyperion, which is the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE or OB1) application. OBIEE has been available since August 2020 and will be the only query tool application supported by DAS FBS after June 30, 2022. We continue to work to make this tool more user friendly.
If an agency desires to continue to use Hyperion after the June 30, 2022 end date, they must purchase individual licenses directly from Oracle at their own cost.
If you have additional questions regarding this notification, please let me know. Thank you for your understanding,
