OBIEE users,

I have been asked, 'How to stop a query in OBIEE?'.

There are only a few ways; however, closing your internet browser is not one of them.


  1.  As a user, your only true option is to click the 'Searching...To cancel, click here.' This option is displayed each time you click on the 'Results' tab to process the query.

  2.  If step 1 does not work, a user can alert Datamart Support and ask them to stop the query from the 'Administration' tab in OBIEE. This should only be completed by Datamart admin.
  3.  If neither options are working, our last resort is to have DAS tech support stop the query at the server level. Datamart support will email DAS tech support, if this option is necessary.
