OBIEE users,

Here is a great tip to help make analysis creation better for users of larger agencies. I have just recently found out that you are able to partially turn off the auto refresh feature when working within a pivot view.

First, you must create an analysis, then click on the results section and obtain data. Second, you create your pivot view and get into the 'edit' mode. Once in the edit mode, it normally wants to auto refresh for each edit you complete; however, you are able to click on the 'display results' option (see below). By clicking this option it will turn 'off' the result display and you will be able to freely move around the edit mode without a refresh. You can then alter/edit the view as much as desired.

When you are finished editing and click the 'done' button, which confirms your editing is complete, the program will refresh the data. This process should save large agencies a great deal of time during analysis creation.

If the user creates a new analysis or moves to another analysis, they will have to toggle off the 'display results' again, if so desired.

We are all very new to this process, therefore, if you discover additional helpful info, please make sure to pass it along to Datamart support as well as your coworkers.
