OBIEE user tips:


  1.  The exact query, created in OBIEE or Hyperion, will run in about the same amount of time.
     *   This is due to both applications using the same database and DB2 technology.
     *   This should be a nice gauge to know when a query may be running out of control.
     *   If a query is running for an extended period of time, please make sure to stop the query by clicking the ‘Searching… To cancel, click here’ option on the ‘Results’ section.

  2.  For large agencies: Try to initially create a file using a small agency (ex. Agy 399, 108, etc.)
     *   This allows the system to run very fast and helps the user speed up their creation time.
     *   Alternative filters may be needed to obtain data but the included fields will be the same.
     *   Make sure to complete your full build including structure, format, views, etc., prior to changing to your agency filter.
