I wanted to send out a few helpful reminders and tips when using OBIEE.


  1.  You must be logged into the State of Oregon network to be able to view the OBIEE website.

  2.  When having log-in slowness, click the 'refresh' button on your internet browser. You may have to input your credentials again; however, it helps get you in. Login slowness has been caused by improperly created queries.

  3.  Clear the 'cache' on your internet browser on a regular basis. This can help with log-in and other issues.

  4.  If a query is running too long, please stop it. If you believe you were unable to stop it, please email Datamart Support for help.

  5.  Filtering by 'Agency' and 'Fiscal Year' is a must on every query. Even if the query is statewide, please add an 'Agency' (between 100 and 999) filter. These two filters help the most when it comes to speeding up your query.

  6.  If you are having issues with a file, please email the file name and directory in OBIEE. The Datamart team cannot complete a proper review unless we have the full story. Screenshots are also very helpful.
