Hello ACFR Contacts,

The SARS team is pleased to announce a new Repository query in OBIEE that will allow agencies to review their statewide balancing exceptions on a weekly basis, instead of waiting for the monthly reports. This query will help agencies confirm the accuracy of corrections more quickly and identify issues earlier in the month.

This query was created by Bri DeLacy from the SARS team, who also introduced it during the Statewide Balance (SWB) Training held this Tuesday (04/14), which was a collaborative effort between SFMA and SARS. The SARS team will continue maintaining and updating the query as needed.

Query Name: SWB Reports
Location in OBIEE: /Shared Folders/Repository/Dashboards/SWB Reports

How to Access and Use the SWB Reports Query:

  1.  Navigate to the folder above in OBIEE.
  2.  Under SWB Reports, select Open.

  1.  The query naturally opens on the tab titled “All Exception Reports by Agency.”
  2.  Select your agency number from the Agency drop‑down field or type it directly into the field.
  3.  Click Apply to load your agency’s reports.
  4.  If your agency has no exceptions for a particular report, you will see the message: “There is no data for this report – there are no out of balance amounts in the indicated accounts.”

The query includes the following exception types:

  *   Due To/From Other Funds
  *   Advances To/From Other Funds
  *   Interagency Transfers
  *   Indirect Transfers
  *   Operating Transfers

To export:

  *   Select the wheel icon in the top right corner (below your sign‑in name).
  *   Choose Export to Excel → Export Current Page, or
  *   Choose Print → Printable PDF for a PDF version.
