<div>Microsoft Office 365 has been rolling out to agencies for a while now. The latest version of Office is 64-bit; however, the Hyperion application is 32-bit. Due to this difference, the (32-bit) ODBC driver for Hyperion was not working properly when Office
365 (64-bit) ODBC driver was installed. However, thanks to the diligent and exceptional work from some great DAS IT staff, we have a solution. </div>

<div>If you are continuing to use Hyperion and have Office 365, I highly recommend contacting your IT department and alerting them of this news. Please let your IT staff know to contact <i><u>Jerod Davidson from DAS IT</u></i>. He will be providing them with
the proper setup instructions. </div>

<div>As a side note, the 32-bit vs 64-bit issue does not affect OBIEE.</div>

<div>Over the past 18 months, Executive Branch agencies, boards and commissions have been moving to Microsoft 365. Many agencies moved with the start of the pandemic to aid remote workers, others recently moved, and a handful of agencies remain to be moved
to the Oregon Microsoft 365 Environment. </div>

<div>Why is this news? </div>
<div>Because Microsoft 365 is a suite of powerful applications and tools allowing us to collaborate within our agencies and across the enterprise. When someone says, “Microsoft 365” (or M365), here’s just a short list of what it means: </div>

<div>* Teams – an app for online meetings, chatting, multiple document editors, audio calls and much more, including the ability to access Teams from a variety of devices.</div>
<div>* OneDrive – cloud-based storage that makes it easy to access and share files, or even entire folders, with others in the Oregon enterprise.</div>
<div>* Office tools using the latest versions – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.</div>
<div>* And other applications for a range of tasks:</div>

<div> * Forms – to create online forms and surveys.</div>
<div> * Planner – to create, assign and organize work.</div>
<div> * Lists – to help track tasks and assignments and keep your team organized.</div>
<div> * Stream – to share videos and meeting recordings. </div>

* to agencies that are already using the M365 environment. A variety of sessions are offered, some live and some recorded, along with lots of short videos. As we incorporate new apps, new training will be added. </div>
