<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="color:black">OBIEE (Option #1): </span></b><span style="color:black">To create a ‘not begins with’ in OBIEE, there are multiple options. First, you
</span>can use the “is not LIKE (pattern match)” with the % (multi-character) or _ (single character) symbol as a wildcard. This can be found in an ‘Analysis’ and within the filter window. The example below would create a filter that ‘does not begin with 3’.
This option would be the optimal choice for our Datamart setup.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="color:black">OBIEE (Option #2):</span></b><span style="color:black"> You can alter the formula of a filter. Start by creating a filter that is opposite of what you want, for example, you create ‘GL Acct begins with 3’ when
you desire ‘GL Acct does not begin with 3’. Next, check the box for ‘convert this filter to SQL’ and click ‘ok’. An ‘advanced SQL filter’ window will pop-up and you will add the word ‘not’ into the formula. (See example screen shots below)<br>
