SFMS Datamart users,

I understand that quite a few users work over the weekend during this busy time of the year. We would like to clarify how the Datamart works during the weekend load process.

First, the weekly Datamart extract occurs Friday evening after the online SFMS system closes and the nightly batch cycle completes. Next, there is an upload process that starts on Saturday evening/Sunday morning. It is safe to run queries
in the Datamart during Saturday from 7am to 6pm. Outside of this timeframe the SFMS Datamart may be down due to the load process. The upload process does not complete until Sunday morning, at varying times. Finally, the data is validated on Monday morning
at 7am. If you plan to run any queries on Sunday, you do so at your own risk. The data is not validated, so please be aware of that fact.

Datamart Calendar example:

Important note: During the ‘extract’ and ‘upload’ processes, the SFMS Datamart is down; however, Workday Payroll information is still available. In addition, no matter what program you use to query the Datamart, during this load time, you
will not obtain SFMS data.

To clarify, if you process a query successfully, during the weekend, you will not have the most up-to-date SFMS information until the upload is complete. For example, running a query Saturday morning will obtain the previous loaded data
and not the current week’s extract. In addition, if you ran a query on Sunday, after the upload was complete, you will not know if there was a problem with the load process, so pulling the data is at your
own risk. I highly recommend that you do not pull new data until the load is verified Monday morning.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for your understanding,
