1. More than 100,000 Oregonians and 28 hospitals will experience DHS budget
cuts that take effect Saturday, March 1. Meanwhile, DHS has mailed notices to
more than 6,000 seniors and people with disabilities about an end to Medicaid
payments for in-home and 24-hour care, effective April 1. Read the news

2. As the state faces challenging cuts to services,the Governor's Advocacy
Office in DHS is working closely with lawmakers and drug companies to help
