1. Thirty-eight persons used legal physician-assisted suicide in 2002,
compared with 21 who did so in 2001, according to the fifth annual report of
Oregon*s experience with the Death With Dignity Act. Read the news release,

3. A package of bills approved by the Legislature and signed by Gov.
Kulongoski will allow DHS to restore some services that were reduced or
eliminated on March 1, 2003. This includes prescription drug benefit for OHP
Standard clients and limited prescription coverage for former Medically Needy
