[DLCD-Rulemaking] Consideration of Administrative Rules regarding Urban Growth Boundaries

CAPTION:Amended rules under OAR 660, division 24, interpreting Goal 14
regarding UGB adoption and amendment
The Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC) is considering
the adoption of new and amended administrative rules to clarify and
streamline the UGB amendment process and reduce costs to local
governments. These proposed new and amended rules will be codified under
OAR chapter 660, division 24. LCDC may consider additional provisions
related to this topic suggested by interested persons during the public
comment period or by the department.
LCDC will hold a public hearing to consider and possibly adopt the
proposed new and amended rules on Thursday, December 4, at the Tillamook
County Library, 1716 3rd Street, Tillamook, Oregon. The meeting, which
includes other agenda items, will begin at 8:30 a.m. Interested persons
may testify during the public hearing regarding the proposed new and
amended rules, or submit written comments by providing 20 copies to the
commission assistant. Written comments may also be submitted prior to
the public hearing as described below.
The proposed new and amended rules, as well as additional notice
documents, may be obtained from the department’s website at
www.oregon.gov/lcd. Alternatively, to obtain a copy of the proposed
new or amended rules by mail, e mail, or fax, contact Bryan Cruz

Address written comments to the Chair of the Land Conservation and
Development Commission, care of Bryan Cruz González at the above
address, fax number or e-mail address. LCDC will accept testimony,
including written comments, until the close of the public hearing.
However, to be provided to LCDC in advance of or at the meeting, written
comments must be received by the close of business on November 28,
2008.
