<p class="MsoNormal">Section 307(c) of the Coastal Zone Management Act, as amended, requires federal agency actions to be consistent with state coastal management programs to the maximum extent practicable. According to 15 CFR Part 930 under Subpart C, federal
agencies may ask that certain environmentally beneficial activities be exempt from further review, either on project-by-project basis or by category.<o:p></o:p></p>
