<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:105%">The Oregon Coastal Management Program within the Department of Land Conservation & Development (OCMP-DLCD), as provided in Section 307(c) of the Coastal Zone Management Act, is reviewing a federally permitted activity
for consistency with the Coastal Management Program. The Department of the Army, Corps of Engineers (Corps) has a permit under consideration that would authorize construction of a grid-connected wave energy test facility in federal waters off of Newport,
Oregon. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is considering a license application for the same project. This federal consistency review applies to both federal permit/license applications. For more information, the federal permit applications, and
