Stalking Resource Center at the National Center for Victims of Crime
would like to thank you for all that you do to support the rights of all
individuals, especially women and girls, to live in peace and dignity.
Stalking is intertwined with many other offenses, but in October, we
would like to highlight the connection between stalking and domestic
violence.

Stalking adds dimensions of difficulty to an already daunting crime.
Intimate partner stalkers have access to their victims in every sense of
the word. They have access to the victim's physical belongings, vehicle,
and home. More than that, they have access to a person's unique
vulnerabilities, and are in a position to exploit this access for their
own purposes of abuse, domination, and fear. Through you, however,
victims of domestic violence and stalking have access to advocacy, legal
resources, and the powers of the criminal justice system. We appreciate
the work that you do in assisting and empowering all victims of domestic
violence.
