Domestic Violence issues

Hello, All:
One of the goals I have for this statewide project (the DVRP position at
DOJ) is to create a DV Expert curriculum and certification process for
law enforcement officers (and potentially members of other appropriate
professions who work within the criminal justice system).
On January 9-11, 2011, the National Center on Domestic and Sexual
Violence (NCDSV) is offering a training on "Expertise as an Ethical
Expert Witness".
I believe that this training could serve as a great springboard and
foundation for what I hope to do.
To that end, I am considering whether DOJ, through this DV grant, should
sponsor a number of law enforcement personnel to attend the training.
Attendees would then be obligated to participate in the creation of a
potential curriculum and certification process and, also, train others
about the training they've received by NCDSV.
Could you please let me know if you're interested? If you know of law
enforcement personnel who would be really great with this topic, please
pass this email along to them, too.
Thank you!
--Erin
