[Domestic Violence issues]

The next DOJ DV Prosecutor newsletter will include a number of articles
regarding DV and military personnel. We plan to look at the increasing
use of PTSD as a defense in DV cases, the creation of "Veterans' Courts"
in Oregon, and provide you with contact information for those
individuals within the Dept. of Veteran's Affairs that can offer
assistance when you are dealing with a member of the military in the
criminal justice system. 
 
During our research, we came across several articles on the Battered
Women's Justice Project website. The link below will take you to the
website. The article at the bottom of the page (Understanding the
Military Response to Domestic Violence) is particularly useful.
