Is Measure 73's application to major felony sex crimes effective at this time? Has the legislature done anything, preventing a mandatory minimum term of 25 years? I have a DV prosecution on a defendant, who as part of those DV charges, also committed a Rape I in January of this year. The indictment also includes a Rape I prior to December 2010.
