[Domestic Violence issues]

Greetings:

Those of who do DV work and work w/ DV victims and survivors know how prevalent sexual abuse is within the context of a domestic violence relationship.

Unfortunately, however, it's an issue that is under-reported, under-investigated, and under-prosecuted.

I read Eve Ensler's article this weekend (link below) and decided to pass it along w/ just a couple of sobering statistics relevant to DV.


REMINDER: Nearly 7.8 million women have been raped by an intimate partner at some point in their lives.

            Sexual assault or forced sex occurs in approximately 40-45% of battering relationships.
