The story about our recent national summit, Y Factor: Men Leading By Example, illustrates a priority we made ten years ago - to engage MEN as partners to end violence against women and girls.  But THIS WEEK, when the Reauthorization of The Violence Against Women Act comes up for a bipartisan SENATE VOTE, Republican Senators may offer an alternative bill that does not keep the bill's inclusion of prevention programs that focus on working with men to help us stop domestic violence!

We worked hard to pass the original Violence Against Women Act when then-Senator Biden introduced it with bipartisan support in 1994.  And we're fully committed to VAWA's life-saving programs that ensure a continued and comprehensive response to all victims, as well as services that prevent teen dating violence, help children exposed to violence, and engage health professionals as partners.
