Oregon has seen 25 DV/Family Violence-related fatalities. 17 of those deaths were as a result of gunshot wounds.

Ø  January: (Multnomah County) Man stabs/kills his domestic partner (1 death)
Ø  January: (Clackamas County) Man shoots/kills his wife and himself (2)
Ø  March: (Jackson County) Man shoot/kills his ex-girlfriend and himself (2)
Ø  March: (Jackson County) Man shoots/kills wife (child in home when he killed woman) (1)
Ø  April: (Multnomah County) Woman stabs/kills boyfriend (1)
Ø  April: (Lane County) Elderly man shoots/kills wife/ himself (2)
Ø  April: (Multnomah County) Man kills himself by jumping off bridge (man was suspect in DV-related shooting where he shot at his girlfriend and threatened his own father) (1)
Ø  April: (Multnomah County) Man shoots/kills himself after taking woman, with whom he was living, and her three kids hostage (1)
Ø  May: (Clatsop Co) Ex-husband kills ex-wife (w/ whom he was living) and her male friend w/ baseball bat (2)
Ø  May: (Wallowa County) Ex-husband kills ex-wife's ex-boyfriend by stabbing him to death (1)
Ø  May: (Washington County) Man kills live-in girlfriend with blunt-force trauma (1)
Ø  May: (Washington County) Ex-husband shoots/kills ex-wife and himself (children in home when he killed woman)(2)
Ø  May: (Marion County) Husband shoots/kills wife, two children, strangles a third child and then shoots/kills himself (5)

June: (Washington County) Officers respond to what has been described as a "domestic disturbance". A man with a gun is shot and killed by police.
