The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) has released the grant solicitation for OVW’s Fiscal Year 2013 Enhanced Training and Services to End Violence Against and Abuse of Women Later in Life Program.  All applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (E.T.) on February 28, 2013

The grant program is designed to provide funds for local communities to provide training for professionals on elder abuse, neglect and financial exploitation,  create or enhance a coordinated community response, and develop services for older victims of elder abuse, neglect and financial exploitation, including domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking, against victims who are 50 years of age or older.  Eligible entities for this program are States, units of local government, Indian Tribal governments or Tribal organizations, and nonprofit and nongovernmental victim services organizations with demonstrated experience in assisting elderly women or demonstrated experience in addressing sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.
