The Department of County Human Services is pleased to announce an
open competitive recruitment for a
Program Supervisor in the
Domestic Violence Coordinator's Office.
About the position: Are you a leader with commitment to domestic violence prevention and intervention? We have a great opportunity for a full-time Program Supervisor in the Domestic Violence Coordinator's Office. The Office is located in downtown Portland and is a part of Multnomah County's Department of County Human Services.

Your experience in domestic violence prevention and intervention will be invaluable as you lead, supervise, and support the work of the Domestic Violence Coordinator's Office. You will be responsible for an expanding group of dedicated and professional staff. Your knowledge of budgets and grants will ensure the continuing success of the Office. You will be relied upon for leadership, facilitation, and collaboration as you represent the Domestic Violence Coordinator's Office at departmental and countywide committees and work groups.
Minimum Qualifications:

  *   Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible professional leadership or technical program experience in the domestic violence or human services field.
  *   A relevant Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university will count for four (4) years of the required experience.
  *   A relevant Graduate degree (MSW, MPA, etc) from an accredited college or university is preferred, and will count for five (5) years of the required experience.
Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  *   Working knowledge of domestic violence issues and intervention systems.
  *   Experience with state or federal grant application and management.
  *   Experience working in government or human services organizations.
  *   Experience working with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency collaboration.
  *   Experience analyzing and utilizing policies, laws, and data, in order to develop policy, procedure, and practice recommendations.
