Make that SEVEN fatal incidents in Oregon in November:

November Totals: Nine deaths, two others critically wounded in seven different incidents in five Oregon jurisdictions. At least four of these incidents happened in front of children or where children were present. At least five of the seven incidents involved a firearm (we don't have information on the other two).

A couple of weeks ago, I sent out this email:

Last year, November was the deadliest month in Oregon in terms of DV-related deaths. In that one month, six of our fellow Oregonians died in five incidents in five separate counties.

Sadly, we are seeing that trend repeated this year. Since the beginning of November, there are have been four incidents in four different counties, resulting in the deaths of four women. Two of the women were killed either in front of their children or while their children were in the house when they were killed. At least three of the four women were killed with a gun. (It has not been reported how Ms. Wooden, in Eugene, was killed.) One perpetrator also shot and killed himself.

Since I sent out the earlier email, there are have been two more incidents resulting in the deaths of three people (including one perpetrator). Two other people (including one perpetrator) were also shot and critically wounded. Both of these incidents involved firearms.
