Good afternoon,

I am preparing for a DV/Rape I trial that is scheduled to begin tomorrow morning.  Defendant is a veteran.  His attorney has just provided me with a copy of his DD-214 and certificate of the bronze star medal.  I would like to file a Motion in Limine, to try and keep these records out, and to prevent him from discussing his awards in front of the jury.  I believe it is improper character evidence, and not relevant to actions between him and his wife that occurred over a year later, etc.  Has anyone encountered this issue before, and does anyone already have a Motion in Limine they have previously used that I could start from?  I think the DD-214 would likely come in as a public record, but if there is a way to deal with this outside of the jury's presence, that would be idea.  Any assistance is appreciated!
