This SATF (Sexual Assault Task Force) training is available to law enforcement and prosecutors as well as other multi-disciplinary responders, including advocates, healthcare providers, DHS and APS caseworkers, campus practitioners, and other first responders.

Responding to Sexual Assault of Individuals with Dementia/Cognitive Degenerative Diseases

This free training aims to increase the capacity of the Criminal Justice System to effectively and empathetically respond to, investigate and prosecute sexual violence crimes committed against people with dementia and other cognitive degenerative diseases. The materials and presentations, delivered through a trauma-informed lens, will focus on improving our understanding and handling of sexual violence crimes and their impact on survivors with dementia and cognitive degenerative diseases.



Attend one of two locations: - Roseburg on August 26; and Salem on November 4.



Who should attend? While the grant project is focused on law enforcement and prosecutors, we strongly encourage other multi-disciplinary responders to attend, including advocates, healthcare providers, DHS Caseworkers, campus practitioners, and other first responders involved in their coordinated community response to sexual violence.



Registration is now open for all three trainings. Venues to be announced.



Financial assistance for travel costs (mileage & per diem) is available for law enforcement and prosecutors/DA staff only. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like to apply for possible scholarship assistance.
