FYI -

Domestic Violence Twitter Q/A with AG Rosenblum Wednesday 4/22 @ 12PM

All,

I apologize for the short notice, but I'm writing to invite you to join us on Twitter on this Wednesday 4/22 at 12:00 PM for a Twitter Q/A with AG Rosenblum on DV and sexual assault prevention during the Covid pandemic. We have been doing weekly Twitter Q/A sessions on a topic related to Covid, and they have been successful. Mainly, our goal is to create public awareness about a specific Covid related topic. This Wednesday, we would like to focus on vulnerable DV/Sexual Assault communities who are isolated right now.

How it works:

Starting Monday, we will start promoting the Q/A and ask Twitter users to join us at noon on Wednesday. Twitter users (and advocacy groups) can also tweet us questions ahead of time about DV/Sexual Assault prevention by tagging the DOJ Twitter Account @ORDOJ, or using the hashtag #CovidScamAlertOR. Groups can also check out our past 4 Twitter Q/A sessions by looking at our @ORDOJ twitter page.

We would love any advocacy group who can to submit questions to the Attorney General/DOJ ahead of time (you do not need to wait until Wednesday). Then, starting at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, we will answer any questions, and promote information or advocacy resources for people. We will also be able to tag any groups in our responses. To get the conversation started on Wednesday, we will also send out about 4-5 questions to the Twitter-sphere (we are working on those questions now). This is an opportunity to lift up shared priorities, both practical and policy oriented, and we'd be glad to have your help.

Again, we would love help in promoting the Q/A session ahead of time, answering any of the questions submitted (either by tagging DOJ or using the hashtag), and letting us know if you can join us Wednesday at noon! We want to be as inclusive as possible, and encourage you to send this E-Mail to anyone you think might find it interesting. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
