If you come into contact with strangulation cases, this is the BEST training you will likely ever attend on the topic from experts in the field. This training is geared towards various professionals, and county "teams" are encouraged to attend- including law enforcement, medical professionals, prosecutors, advocates, etc. And the Clackamas Strangulation Response Initiative has brought this program to Oregon - which means the training cost is significantly lower than if you had to travel out of state. Don't miss this opportunity!!

Registration for the 4-day

Advanced Strangulation Training

NOW OPEN!

The Clackamas County Strangulation Response Initiative is hosting the Training Institute on Strangulation Prevention

in Wilsonville from March 8-11, 2022.

The training was postponed twice - once in 2020 and again in 2021 - we all know why... The goal is to train professionals that will take the information and inspiration back to their communities to improve the response to non- and near-fatal strangulation. We encourage communities to send multi-disciplinary groups to train together.

Cost of the training is $350 - we have limited availability so space will fill up quickly! (As of 10/21 there are only 37 spots left)

Registration is through the Oregon Peace Officers Association (OPOA). You can access the registration with this link: http://opoa.info/event-3484532

More information on the training can be viewed on the Training Institute on Strangulation Prevention's website: https://www.strangulationtraininginstitute.com/

Please forward this email to anyone you think would be interested.

We look forward to seeing you in March!
