INFORMATION SESSION ON GRANT FUNDS AVAILABLE
Tuesday, February 14 at 12:15pm via zoom

HB 2575 created a grant program through DOJ to provide funding for trauma-informed training. With the funds, you can attend trainings that deal with topics surrounding trauma informed care, pay to bring already established trainings to your community or work with community partners to build your own curriculum that addresses trauma informed care.

The RFA for this non-competitive grant is expected to be released this Friday, February 10. There will be a rolling application deadline until May 30, or until all funds have been allocated. Funds must be dispersed by June.

Grant recipients can use the funds in three ways:

  1. Host a training in your community (allowable costs: trainer, venue, food, materials, travel scholarships)
  2. Send people to an already established training (allowable costs: travel, per diem, tuition)
  3. Develop a training specific to your community (allowable costs: curriculum developer, materials, cost of hosting training)

Who can apply?
Law enforcement, parole and probation, juvenile department, local government agencies, tribal government agencies, DA's office (can include a wider community reach)

Tuesday's information session will provide additional information about the RFA, details about how to use the funds, available existing programs/ trainings to host or send people to, steps to apply and availability to answer any additional questions.
