Hello Honeybadgers!

I had the opportunity to meet a number of you at DV Day at ODAA this last week and I know I’ve met and worked with many of you at past DV Trainings and Bootcamp. But for those of you that I haven’t had the chance to meet, I’d like to introduce
myself as your new DV Resource Prosecutor with the DOJ Criminal Justice Division.

I look forward to working with and learning from each of you. I am excited to continue Erin’s work in developing multi-disciplinary training programs as well as creating new resources to assist in DV investigation and prosecution around
the state. I would love to hear from you about what specific types of training programs or resources might be of particular interest and help to you. As you encounter cases or circumstances where statutes don’t exist to sufficiently protect victims or leave
loopholes for offenders- please share those stories with me so that I am aware of legislative issues that create gaps in victim safety.

Within the coming year, I plan to make a visit to each of the counties around the state. I am eager to personally meet the prosecutors, system and community advocates, investigators, probation officers, treatment providers and others that
doing the DV work in your community. My goal is to learn more about your county-specific or agency-specific programs, what is working for you, and what hurdles or challenges you may be facing. I am interested in sharing successful programs with other counties
and to join forces in addressing issues we may all be facing.

Mark your calendars for October 24-26 for DV Bootcamp. More info to follow!
