<p class="MsoNormal">On December 24, 2016, Trooper Nic Cederberg was shot 12 times by James Tylka after Trooper Cederberg located his car and gave chase. Just hours before, Tylka shot and killed his estranged wife Katelynn. When officers later searched her
car they located a restraining order that she had filled out, but not yet submitted. Some news articles also comment on prior police call outs of Katelynn reporting domestic violence. Tylka was killed in the exchange of gunfire with police. Trooper Cederberg
is still employed with OSP with modified duty status due to his injuries.<o:p></o:p></p>
