ELL students who have taken the OAKS English Reading assessment may also take
the OAKS Spanish Reading assessment as one of their three online Reading
opportunities.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoPlainText><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Pending
approval by the U.S. Department of Education in Summer 2010, students’
results on the OAKS Grade 3 Spanish Reading assessment may be used to meet
2009-10 accountability requirements. However, to ensure that students are
counted for accountability purposes, all students taking the Grade 3 OAKS
Spanish Reading assessment must also take the OAKS Reading assessment in
English.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
