Subject: January Statewide Severe Weather Monitoring

Good Afternoon,

The State ECC is increasing its Response Operational Status Level to, Level 3: ECC Regional Response, due to the forecasted severe weather. The State ECC is activated virtually to coordinate interagency support and sharing of situational awareness information for this event. The initial incident briefing is attached. ECC email briefings will be shared as they are developed to support the incident.

To aid in sharing situational awareness information, an ArcGIS StoryMap portfolio<https://geo.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/portfolio/index.html?appid=ef3ef593a386461ba529dd70c2d53d39> page has been setup. The portfolio includes briefings from the National Weather Service, weather forecast information, traffic conditions (TripCheck), and Utility Outage information.

Response and preparedness staff, including regional coordinators, provide support for local, tribal and state partners during agency business hours. For immediate assistance outside of business hours, please call OERS at 800-452-0311 and ask for the OEM Executive Duty Officer (EDO).

Thank you,
Curtis
