 *   FY 2007 – FY 2009 Funding Status.  Wave 72 for FY 2007 is scheduled for December 16th.  Wave 32 for FY 2008 is scheduled For December 18th and will include Priority 2 funding down to 88%.  The Form 471 application window for FY 2009 is open.
 *   FCC OIG Releases Statistical Analysis of E-Rate Audits.  The OIG’s initial report of Round 2 E-rate audits showed an estimated erroneous payment rate of 13.8%.  Numerous aspects of this analysis are discussed in this article.


 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.
    *   The poor economy is increasing the number of students qualifying for NSLP.
    *   Former SC technology director sentenced to two years in jail for E-rate fraud.
    *   Sen. Rockefeller (D-WV), a long time supporter of E-rate, will chair the Senate Commerce Committee.
    *   Reply comments to the FCC’s Notice of Inquiry are due today, December 15th.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated December 12th.  This News Brief discusses the use of a Form 471 Receipt Acknowledgement Letter (RAL) to make changes to a newly submitted application.
